Welcome to the Farmers Insurance Open hosted by Torrey Pines.
This is Aaron’s first tournament for 2010 and we are hoping for a great start to the year for him. As you all know he has been making changes to his swing – trying to get back to some of the techniques he had back when he won his first Australian Open. This doesn’t come easy and Badds has been putting in some serious over time to get his game to a level he feels very comfortable with.
Aaron and Shells love it when the tour takes them to San Diego; it is one of their favourite holiday destinations. Aaron has played at Torrey Pines many times over the years. He loves the challenge of the course and how much thought and planning needs to go into each shot.
Nick Watney is the defending champion after firing a 277. Torrey Pines is 6874 yards. Par is 72 and the purse this week is $5.3 million.
Aaron will tee off tomorrow at 9:10am with Tommy Armour III and Billy Mayfair.
